ZAZ WATCH BY NOOKA
Lemme start saying that I’m not a fan of wrist watches, in fact I don’t even have one, I don’t see the point of wearing one when you can easily check the time with your cell phone not to mention that when you waer one you’re constantly checking the time and worrying about it so no thanks, but every once in a while a rad watch came out on the market and I start drooling, and this is the case. The ZAZ watch designed by Nooka is unique, I haven’t see something quite like this.
The ZAZ model is pretty amazing because it doesn’t show up the time like any other watch, instead of using numbers for digital watches or it uses 24 bars to indicate hours and 60 bars for the minutes, filling each one according to the especific time over a trasnparent screen which will create the ilusion of displaying the bars right over your arm. This new way to read the time is very futuristic and playful, perfect for geeks and 8-bit lovers, so if you’re interested into getting one you could just go here to buy it, they have it on black and white with leather band or a steel mesh one. Enjoy.
‘BAMBU PET HAMMOCK’ BY PET LOUNGE STUDIO
Pets in our lives became more than just that, they took a place as one of the family, like the family dog or cat, and when you love yours all the cares and attentions requiered for their well being are in order, and sometimes is ok to spoiled them, not like Paris Hilton an her annoying little Chihuahua, but something like an ocassional treat or toy, or like in this case, a beautiful Bambu Pet Hammock.
Designed by Pet Lounge Studio, this rad hammock is perfect for dogs and as much as I’d love to have this one for my beloved Pelusa -means Fluffy in Spanish- this prototype didn’t make it on its Kickstarter pledge. Even when the studio didn’t gathered enough money for its production the concept goes beyond amazing, and judging by the images above the dog is resting as never has before, so I bet my old buddy Pelusa would’ve wanted one, even when she has no idea that this beautiful hammock was an eco-friendly piece of furniture made entirely out of bambu. Sad indeed. Enjoy.
‘MUGTAIL ANIMAL MUG’ BY CONNECT DESIGN
I’m one of those who need a cup of coffee every morning to start functioning otherwise am a mess all day long, so of course I have a favourite mug for that purpose but nothing quite like this awesome-must-have mugs inspired by animals. Design by Connect Design, a Seoul, Korea company focused on design awesome items like these mugs inspried by some cute animals like a bunny and a squirrel that includes not only the figure carved on the mug but also on their tails as handlers which makes them even better. WHo wouldn’t love to wake up and have a nice cup of coffee with one of this mugs in the hand? I know I would, if you would’ve too go here to buy one, they’r eonly $20 buks. Enjoy
‘THE CHARGING TAP USB’ BY QI WEIJIA
When it comes to cell or USB chargers design most of them are just awful to look at with that black -or white- big plastic monolithes plug to the wall, but luckly for us there are a few well desgined to work efficiently and to look awesome, and this is one of those. The Charging Tap USB was designed by Qi Weijia whose identity is a mistery because I couldn’t find something about him. The design is quite amazing not to mention funny, it takes the idea of filling a device directly from the tap just like we do with a glass but instead of water we get energy, how cool is that?
This USB charger is perfect for digital cameras, MP3 players, cellphones and a whole bunch of USB enabled devices, including laptops which is cool. I have absolutely no idea if this is just a prototype or ready to buy somewhere but if you know something please let me know, I’d would love to get one. Enjoy.
